Kayla Kirk, LEC
As a Lactation Educator Counselor, my goal is to support and educate you and your family in order to get breastfeeding off to a good start. Together, we’ll discuss your breastfeeding questions and challenges and come up with a plan that works for your unique circumstances.
I serve the greater Las Vegas valley, including Henderson, Boulder City, Laughlin, and Pahrump. In-home visits, in-office visits at the Henderson office, and telehealth visits are all available.
My lactation journey began in 2019 with the birth of my first child. After navigating a series of breastfeeding difficulties with little support, I chose to exclusively pump for her first year. As I reflected on the issues we'd faced and my disappointment with the situation, I decided that I wanted to help other breastfeeding parents get the support that I wish we'd had.
In 2020 I began the journey towards becoming an IBCLC. Covid and another pregnancy delayed my plans, but in 2021 I gave birth to my second child and in 2022 I completed the UCSD Pathway 2 Lactation and Perinatal Education Program. I am currently an LEC (Lactation Educator Counselor) and tested for my IBCLC in September 2022.
The name K + K Lactation is a nod to my two children, who started me down this new life path and who inspire me daily to make the world a better place than I found it.
